Cat Traffic is the brainchild of Grammy-nominated producer and multi-instrumentalist Scott Welch, whose musical odyssey began on the stages of Kansas City and found new dimension under the California sun.

After making the pilgrimage to Los Angeles, Welch’s finely tuned ear led him deep into the world of music production. He quickly became immersed in the creative vortex of Raphael Saadiq’s studio, where he absorbed the art of sculpting sound—layer by layer, melody by meaning.

With production credits on songs amassing over 200 million streams, Welch earned a Grammy nomination for his work on Tank and the Bangas’ breakthrough album Green Balloon. Now, through Cat Traffic, he steps into the spotlight, inviting listeners into a world entirely his own.
